I Got Mail! Pete Mroz is in the House!

This week, I received Pete Mroz's new ep 'Land of Oz' via mail, autographed (name photoshopped to DJ persona), but yeah I got the real deal.   Nice touch, thanks Pete.

A Sensational Slow Baked Sunday for you!

SL Live Radio presents Slow Bake this afternoon at noon.  Join us in SL Live Radio's Studio A in Misty Falls for all the fun.

Your SL favorite musicians are featured in my two hour show every Sunday.  Kara's Korner is featured twice an hour, giving you the 'around the grid' review of what's going on and what's hot across SL this weekend (and upcoming).

Did I say - lots of music?  Yup, lots of music!  and Belinda is your host.  Of course, I'm the DJ, curator of my growing library of talented musicians, many of which are home-grown and native to our very own Second Life.  Many are also successful real life musicians, while the rest are on the rise in both worlds.  I have some classics from those on hiatus due to RL circumstances or busy music schedules. 

I also will share some tracks from the new Duran Duran LP's Paper Gods, debuted in SL last weekend. 

The point my library is approaching 1,000 songs.   Plenty to offer you diversity during our two hour show.

Caught Dominoe Effect last night again at The VooDoo Lounge (an amazing venue and worth the visit in and of itself).   Dom's voice has a super range, and for a new guy, he's got it together.  He's come to SL complete with originals and a mastery of covers.  I'm hoping for an album.  (I would love to play him on my radio show.)

Paper Gods in Khanada

Today was Duran Duran's release party for the bands' LP 'Paper Gods' - and leave to Chrissy Welinder to host a party for the occasion. Duran Duran fans came out to celebrate in SL style, and the theme was 'pink and blue' riffing off the LP cover.    A great summer's end party and plenty of good cheer about the new DD masterpiece made the occasion all the better.   It's a different style, but refreshing nonetheless.   It's really quite perfect, and fits in seasonally and also it just feels 'new.'    Head onto amazon.com to get it online in CD and Vinyl, and look for it soon as a download.
