He's back - Don Galaga

Checked out an ol' musician friend, Don Galaga, this evening who is back in Second Life.  I remember him from his early days, when Belinda and I would hang out at Bahama Breeze.

Tonight, he performed at the venue Acoustic Cave [http://www.acousticcavesl.com/]

Don Galaga seemed to be in good spirits singing a variety of tunes crossing genres.


His voice, he noted, laughing, was a bit scratchy and remarked 'it's been awhile'.  [Yep, too long, but really not that long.  We just missed him!]  Nonetheless he is still a great performer, if not more so, having had some time away.

Don Goes Tropical

Trasc McCallen, owner of Bama Breeze, enjoys listening to Don Galaga live on his entertainment island, Gilligan's Lost Lagoon. A nice crowd showed up on his cozy beach - his old friends and new ones too. Don, usually in country duds, was a bit tropic on this night. Don played a mix of country and pop ballads, and of course JIMMY BUFFET tunes. Don Galaga is an incredible singer, smooth and natural. Bama Breeze pays homage to Jimmy and his lifestyle. Don will be playing at least twice a month at the Breeze. Come casual.

By the end of the night, I got a little causual too. It's addictive! Bama Breeze, enjoy the sands and the good company - and of course Jimmy Buffet music and atmosphere. Look for the rest of the story in the October 2010 Best of SL Magazine.
